Guidelines for Submission of Abstracts

The 7th World Hypertension Congress together with the 21st Arterial Hypertension Congress of SBC/DHA, scheduled on May 13–15, 2027 in Goiania, Brazil, is one of the leading global forums for sharing with national and international experts recent findings in the cardiovascular and hypertension field.

Submission of Abstracts offers an opportunity to share fresh science results, engage in qualified scientific discussions, and increase the global visibility of the work presented.

Timeline

Stage Period
Submission of abstracts (Stages 1 to 5) 05 October until 30 November 2026
Review of abstracts – Abstracts Review Committee (ARC) January 2027
Release of results / Presentation format January/February 2027
Confirmation of presentation and submission of the e-poster February to April 2027

Registration

Submission of abstracts is free of charge.

Presenting authors of approved abstracts must be registered for the Congress.

Each approved Abstract grants a 50% discount on one registration for one of the registered authors.

The discount is individual, non-transferable, non-cumulative, and calculated based on the pricing tier in effect at the time of registration.

There will be no refunds for registrations already completed.

Note: When registering, you must complete the entire registration form and click Save and Continue. In the next step, you may choose between Submit Abstracts or Register.

Commitment to Presentation

Submission of an abstract implies the authors’ formal commitment to register for and present the work in person in Goiania, if approved.

For an approved and confirmed abstract: failure to submit the material and/or failure to register for the Congress by 29th April will result in the abstract being withdrawn from the scientific program and from all event publications.

Language, Ethical Aspects, and Commitment to Research

All abstracts must be submitted in English.

The review process is blind; therefore, the text must not contain information that allows identification of the authors or institutions, under penalty of disqualification.

Abstracts must not include commercial drug names.

Abstracts that directly or indirectly identify patients will be disqualified.

Abstracts that have already been presented, awarded, or published at the time of submission may be disqualified and will not be eligible for awards.

The authors responsible for the submission declare, for all purposes, that they are aware of and have fully complied with the ethical requirements applicable to the study presented.

They further declare that supporting documentation is available and can be sent to the Scientific Committee on request, with the authors bearing sole responsibility for any incorrect information or omissions related to ethical compliance.

Results must be clear, and conclusions must be based on the data presented.

Non-original work, such as narrative reviews, will not be accepted, but systematic reviews/meta-analyses may be submitted, provided the methodology is described.

Abstracts using PRISMA or QUOROM methodology will be accepted for peer review evaluation.

The Scientific Committee may decline to accept for presentation abstracts that are exclusively descriptive and based on secondary administrative data, such as DATASUS, when there is no well-defined research question, no statistical analysis consistent with the stated objectives, or no relevant scientific contribution.

Studies of this type are expected to present a consistent analytical approach, appropriate context for the results, and a critical discussion of the limitations inherent to the database used.

For the Young Researcher category, the abstract’s coordinator/advisor must be included as the last author and must hold an active registration with the relevant professional board.

Use of Artificial Intelligence

At the time of submission, the author must declare whether generative Artificial Intelligence tools were used.

This disclosure is declaratory in nature and aims to ensure transparency in the scientific process.

The declaration options range from no use of AI to more extensive use throughout the development of the text.

Regardless of the level of use, full responsibility for the scientific content, its originality, accuracy, critical review, and ethical compliance remains exclusively with the authors.
